| Where Would I find a Bedbug? |
Bedbugs will commonly be found on beds although they are not always confined to one area. Bedbugs will infest mattresses, box springs, headboards, baseboards (usually in bedrooms and living rooms), and adjacent furniture and in some cases various cracks and crevices in the home.
How do I know if I have Bedbugs?
The most common indication that one has bedbugs is consistent insect bites that appear in the morning. Unlike spider or flea bites, bedbug bites will commonly occur in multiples of three or more linear bites. You will not likely be awoken by a bedbug while it is in the process of biting you because its saliva contains and anesthetic agent which numbs the area where it is feeding. This agent is what your body reacts to causing a local irritation; a bedbug bite.
You may also see the bugs on the bed or other furniture, as well as the baseboards. Look for little black dots or clusters of dots, an indication that bedbugs have been traveling in that area.
